Population at Risk - The Transgender Community

While HIV can affect everyone from children to senior citizens, there are some populations that are at a greater risk than others. Unfortunately, some of the populations at greatest risk are the ones that get the least attention. One such population is the transgender community. While the HIV incidence is extremely high in the transgender community, reaching that population with education and resources is difficult. Fnding medical resources, support, and HIV education can be difficult for the transgender community. Let's take a look at HIV in the transgender community and see if the lack of resources contributes to the high HIV risk.
