FDA Warns Public to Avoid Erectile Dysfunction Supplement

Sunday October 5, 2008
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a warning against the use of a dietary supplement known as Xiadafil VIP. This supplement, sold over the counter, is commonly used as a sexual enhancement product and a treatment for sexual dysfunction. Because it contains the same active ingredient as Viagra it also carries the risk of dangerous drops in blood pressure sometimes seen with the prescription ED drug known as the "little blue pill". Men with heart disease or who take medications for high blood pressure and chest pain should stop the supplement immediately and consult their doctor.

Who needs Impotence Information?

Erectile dysfunction (ED) also identified as impotence, is the incapacity to attain or maintain an erection for satisfactory sexual activity. Impotence information is different from other conditions that interfere with sexual intercourse, such as lack of sexual desire and problems with ejaculation and orgasm. This piece focuses on the estimation and treatment of impotence information.

Erectile dysfunction (ED, impotence information) varies in severity; some men have a total inability to achieve an erection, others have an inconsistent ability to achieve an erection, and still others can sustain only brief erections. The variations in severity of impotence information make estimating its frequency difficult. Many men also are reluctant to discuss impotence information with their doctors, and thus the condition is under-diagnosed. However, experts have anticipated that impotence affects 30 million men in the USA.
