How to Know if You Should Get an HIV Test
From your AIDS/HIV Guide

Here's How:
  1. had sex without knowing for sure [b] [/b]that the person you had sex with did not have HIV?
  2. had sex with someone you know has HIV or AIDS?
  3. had a disease passed on by sex, like genital herpes of syphilis (having these diseases makes it easier to get HIV) ?
  4. had sex with a man or woman who has had multiple sex partners?
  5. had sex with someone who has used injectable drugs?
  6. shared needles or "works" to take drugs?
  7. had sex with a man who has had sex with another man?
  8. paid a man or woman to have sex with you?
  9. had unprotected vaginal, anal, or oral sex?
  10. had a blood transfusion or received blood products prior to April, 1985?


Tips:

  1. If you answered yes to any of these questions, you should have an HIV test.
