Fatigue is a common problem in HIV and AIDS. To treat fatigue, one must first learn what's causing the problem. Specific causes include poor diet, depression, not enough rest, or anemia. Here are some quick tips that will help you handle your fatigue.
  • Get plenty of rest and exercise.

  • Follow a healthy, balanced diet. Consult your doctor or nutritionist to help develop a high energy diet that will ease the symptoms of fatigue.

  • If you are feeling depressed or believe you are depressed, notify your physician so a referral to a mental health professional can be made.

  • If anyone tells you that you look pale, or if you are feeling fatigued you may have a low blood count or anemia. Consult your doctor regarding the possibility of having anemia. Anemia can be caused by diet as well as some HIV medications
