Classification:
Cholesterol Lowering Drug
Form:
  • 20mg and 40mg capsules
Dosage:
  • 20mg to 40mg at bedtime to start, not to exceed 40mg twice per day
Instructions:
  • Take once a day dose at bedtime. Take twice a day dose 12 hours apart.
Side Effects To Report To Your Doctor:
  • Constipation
  • Diarrhea
  • Fatigue
  • Gas
  • Heartburn
  • Headache
  • Muscle, joint and back pain
Drug Interactions or Incompatibility:
  • Use with caution in patients with kidney disease.
  • Should be used with caution in people with liver disease or if used in conjunction with alcohol.
