Cholesterol Lowering Drug
Form:
  • 10mg, 20mg and 40mg tablets
Usual Dosage:
  • 10mg to 20mg at bedtime to start, not to exceed 40mg per day
Instructions:

Take at bedtime with or without food.

Side Effects to report to your doctor:
  • Hepatitis
  • Constipation
  • Diarrhea
  • Fatigue
  • Gas
  • Heartburn
  • Headache
  • Muscle, joint and back pain
  • Muscle breakdown with kidney involvement
Drug Interactions or Incompatibility:
  • Use with caution in patients with kidney disease.
  • Should be used with caution in people with liver disease or in people who consume alcohol.
