Ziagen Tablets

Classification:

Nucleoside Reverse Transcriptase Inhibitor (NRTI)

Form:

  • 300mg tablet (yellow)
  • 20mg/cc oral solution

Dosage:

One 300mg tablet twice each day.

Instructions:

  • May take with or without food.
  • Never stop and restart Ziagen without first consulting your physician.

Side Effects To Report To Your Doctor:

  • "Generalized sick feeling" or "flu-like" symptoms
  • Nausea / vomiting
  • Rash
  • Fatigue
  • Headache
  • Abdominal pain
  • Constipation
  • Dizziness

Black Box Warning:

Hypersensitivity reactions have been associated with Ziagen. Contact you physician immediately if you develop:
  • fever
  • rash
  • fatigue
  • nausea / vomiting / diarrhea
  • flu-like symptoms
