Question: Can an HIV+ Person Take Flumist?
Answer: No! Persons with HIV/AIDS as well as persons with weakened immune systems (e.g. person living with cancer) should never take vaccines that contain live virus. Flumist is one such vaccine. Vaccines with live virus are only approved for use only among healthy persons between the ages of 5 and 49 years.
