National Women & Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day
Friday March 9, 2007
March 10, 2007 marks the second annual National Women & Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. The purpose for the day is to raise HIV/AIDS awareness and its impact on the lives of women and girls. The theme of this year's day is Taking Action to Save Our Lives. Women and girls can recognize the day by getting tested, sharing what they know about HIV with friends and family, and providing support to those around them who are living with HIV and AIDS. Learn more about this special day by visiting the Centers for Disease Control Website.
