New York Governor Proposes $65 Million Cut to ADAP - Let's Tell Him What a Mistake This Would Be
Thursday December 18, 2008
New York Governor David A. Paterson has proposed a $65 million cut to the state's AIDS Drug Assistance Program for 2009. If approved, New York's 100,000 HIV positive citizens will definitely feel the cut where it hurts most; in their ability to pay for their HIV medicines. I have always considered the viewers of my site here at About.com as a community. Well it's time for the community to come together and make Governor Paterson aware of the huge mistake this cut will be. E-mail or snail mail Governor Paterson and make your voice be heard. Not just you New Yorkers; let's all send the Governor a note to voice our concern. Reach the Governor by
- E-mail or by snail mail at:
David A. Paterson
State Capitol
Albany, NY 12224
You can also give him a call at 518-474-8390.
Make your voice heard because the next state budget cut could very well be your state unless we all take action now.

South Carolina's Medicaid agency says it will stop enrolling HIV infected people into it's Medicaid HIV/AIDS Program in an effort to trim $61 million from its budget. The most concerning result of such cuts will be a lack of funds to help offset the high cost of HIV medications for South Carolina HIV infected citizens. Let's stand up for those in South Carolina by e-mailing Governor Mark Sanford or sending him a letter at:- Governor Mark Sanford
